Works to remove the Seaford Road, Seaford level crossing are now complete.
The level crossing was removed using a hybrid design that lowered Seaford Road by 1.5m, and built the rail line onto a planted embankment.
The level-crossing-free Seaford Road opened to traffic in September 2018 after a 6-week construction blitz.
Works continued through to 2019 on the $10 million revitalisation, which included 6km of new walking and cycling paths from Eel Race Road through Seaford and on to Frankston, a new community open space and playscape in RF Miles Reserve and the planting more than 100,000 trees, shrubs and low-lying vegetation.
