The $4.9 million 15-bed residential aged care wing at the Golden Oaks Nursing Home in Bendigo opened in June 2020.
Funded via the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund, the new wing allowed the majority of residents to move from dual occupancy to single rooms, improving privacy and a sense of independence.
Refurbishments were made to the existing facility, giving residents more private and comfortable bedrooms. Upgrades to the dining room and kitchen allowed for meals to be cooked fresh onsite.
