We closed the level crossing at Cave Hill Road, Lilydale and built a new pedestrian underpass to provide a safer connection across the rail line with links to future pedestrian and cycling paths.
With the Cave Hill Road level crossing now closed, the Lilydale Line is the first train line in Melbourne to be level crossing free.
