The McGregor Road Upgrade included:

• adding an extra lane in each direction on McGregor Road between the Princes Freeway and Henry Road/Webster Way
• upgrading the intersection at McGregor Road/Henry Road/Webster Way to add additional capacity and dedicated turning lanes
• adding an extra lane to the outbound freeway exit ramp and northern freeway roundabout
• widening the inbound freeway entry ramp to add an extra lane and reinstating traffic lights to manage vehicles entering the freeway
• improving drainage and road safety barriers in the area.

Major construction north of the Princes Freeway was completed in December 2024, with the remainder of major works to upgrade the McGregor Road city-bound freeway entry ramp completed in March 2025.
