We’ve now completed our major construction works on Foote Street with the upgraded intersection now in operation. We’ve commenced our completion works at the Foote Street and Williamsons Road intersection and these will continue into early 2023.

Traffic management will be in place to guide road users through the area. Speed will be reduced to 40km/h during both day and night works. We ask that you plan your journey and allow up to an extra 5 minutes when travelling through the area

Intermittent night works

There’ll be intermittent nightworks during January 2023 between 7pm and 5am Sundays to Thursdays. These works will focus on the Foote Street eastern leg.

Works will include:

• final road surface preparation
• asphalting
• line marking
• public lighting installation.

What to expect:

• noise from machinery
• light spill from light towers
• lane closures and short-term detours.

Impacted residents closest to the scheduled works will be notified closer to the date.

Intermittent night works traffic changes

There’ll be temporary lane closures and traffic management in place to guide road users through the area. At times Foote Street will be closed at Williamsons Road and there will be detours in place using Anderson Street, Porter Street, Church Road, King Street, Lynnwood Parade and High Street.

Local residents will still be able to access their properties during this time with guidance from traffic controllers. If asphalt is freshly laid you may be asked to delay driving on it.
