We’ll be opening up the bus lanes on Fitzsimons Lane between Porter Street and Foote Street to all traffic. This will improve traffic flow for all road users.
We’ll ensure public transport and service reliability remains a priority through the installation of additional bus priority treatments. The bus priority treatments at the Williamsons and Foote and Fitzsimons and Porter intersections will allow buses to bypass queued traffic at the signals. Buses will then be provided with a head start across the intersection. We’ll also work closely with Public Transport Victoria and bus operators to ensure safe and easy access to bus stops.
