Facilitating right turns

Vehicles turning right from South Road into Tucker Road will benefit from the new signalised pedestrian crossing, by being able to turn safely when the pedestrian signals are activated. In addition, a sensor will also detect when the right turn lane has exceeded capacity, triggering the pedestrian signals. This will help keep traffic flowing on South Road by preventing right turning vehicles from spilling over into the westbound through lanes.

Works are expected to get underway in September 2022.
