Thompson Road and Mornington Peninsula Freeway Interchange Upgrade

We’re planning for an upgrade to the western side of the Thompson Road and Mornington Peninsula Freeway interchange, in Patterson Lakes.

Planning work is underway and key activities include:

developing a design
detailed traffic analysis and modelling, to better understand the future growth of the area and the demand this will place on the road network
environmental investigations to understand flora, fauna and tree species
investigations to map utility services.

We expect our initial planning work will be complete in 2026. Construction timelines will be known once our planning has progressed further.
