Mickleham Road Upgrade - Stage 1

Major construction for Stage 1 of the Mickleham Road Upgrade between Somerton Road and Dellamore Boulevard was completed in late 2024.

Stage 1 of the Mickleham Road Upgrade involved:

adding 3 new lanes in each direction on Mickleham Road between Somerton Road and Dellamore Boulevard, and multiple lanes in each direction on Somerton Road between Blossom Drive and French Road
adding new traffic lights at Aitken College
replacing the roundabout at Somerton Road and Mickleham Road with a new traffic light intersection, including priority bus lanes
upgrading the Hillview Road and Dellamore Boulevard intersections
building new sections of walking and cycling path to improve connectivity along Mickleham Road.
