On behalf of the Australian Government, we undertook planning for the potential future McKoy Street - Hume Freeway Intersection Upgrade in West Wodonga.

As part of planning, we sought solutions to improve safety, reduce travel times and increase connectivity.

Planning work evaluated the safety, design, environmental, social and economic impacts of the potential upgrade and we developed the following potential design options:

• a median closure
• a grade separated interchange at the existing intersection location
• a grade separated interchange west of the existing intersection.

Planning work informed the development of a Business Case, which was finalised in mid-2022 and provided to the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications.
