For the upgrades to the Eastern Freeway between Burke Road and Tram Road, we’re building:

6 new express lanes and on-road technology to ease congestion
the first 7 kilometres of the Eastern Busway, improving transport in Melbourne’s east
A new major interchange at Bulleen, providing a seamless connection with the new North East Link tunnels and linking Melbourne’s east with the M80 Ring Road
11+ kilometres of new and upgraded noise walls, designed to meet Victoria's toughest noise standards - 63 dbA during the day, and 58 dbA at night
smarter, on-road technology to get you home safer and sooner
revitalised parklands, wetlands and waterways
11 kilometres of new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, including new, wider pedestrian bridges at Estelle Street in Bulleen and Heyington Avenue in Mont Albert North.
2 park and rides at Bulleen and Doncaster – doubling the number of commuter parking spaces in the area
More than 1.8 million new plants, including over 10,000 trees.
