On behalf of the Australian Government, we undertook planning for a potential future upgrade to Dorset Road between Hull Road and Maroondah Highway.

Our planning work included traffic modelling, planning and social studies and environmental investigations. This work allowed us to understand the environmental and social impacts, develop design options and confirm scope and costs of different options.

This planning work informed the development of a Business Case which was finalised in early 2022 and provided to the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications.

As part of the October 2022-23 Budget, the Australian Government withdrew the funding commitment to this project.
