On behalf of the Australian Government, we undertook planning for a potential future extension of Dorset Road from Burwood Highway to Lysterfield Road and also a potential future upgrade to Napoleon Road between Lysterfield Road and Kelletts Road.

Our planning work included traffic modelling, planning and social studies and environmental investigations. This work allowed us to understand the environmental and social impacts, develop design options and confirm scope and costs of different options.

This planning work informed the development of Business Cases which were finalised in early 2022 and provided to the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications.

As part of the October 2022-23 Budget, the Australian Government withdrew the funding commitment to this project. .
